Your calendar is full before the day even starts.
Back to back meetings. Calls. Emails. Problems to solve before you’ve had your first cup of coffee.
By the time lunch rolls around you’ve already made more decisions than most people make in a week.
And the day is only half over.
That’s the reality of building something or running something. Every hour requires something from you mentally. Your brain is the product. And you run it hard.
By 3pm the tank is empty.
Not tired exactly. Just done. Like a browser with too many tabs open that’s starting to slow down. You push through because that’s what you do. But you know something is off.
And somewhere underneath all of it is the thing you keep meaning to get to.
Your health.
You’ve tried to make it work before. You’ve bought the gym membership. You’ve told yourself this week you’ll figure out a schedule.
But a client call always feels more urgent than a workout. A deadline always wins. Fitness keeps getting pushed to the bottom of a list that never gets shorter.
You have full autonomy over your day.
Which means you have no excuse.
And that frustration is not lost on you.
The cruel irony is that the thing you keep deprioritizing is the exact thing that would make everything else better. The energy crashes. The poor sleep. The back that’s been bothering you from sitting too long. The brain fog that shows up every afternoon.
None of that is inevitable.
It’s what happens when the one thing you never delegate is your own health.
You delegate everything else. You have people around you who handle things so you don’t have to think about them.
But when it comes to your body you’ve been trying to figure it out alone. In between everything else. With whatever mental energy is left at the end of the day.
That’s not a willpower problem. That’s a system problem.
