Three boys, zero free time, and a seriously impressive overhead press

CrossFit training with wall ball

I want to tell you about Jenn.

Jenn is a mom of three boys, and if you know anything about raising boys, you know that her life is anything but quiet. One wrestles in high school. One plays basketball. The third always has something social going on.

Jenn is the engine behind all of it. Homework help, school runs, forgotten lunches dropped off at the front office, all of it.

For years, that left exactly zero room for Jenn.

She’ll tell you herself that being a mother is core to who she is. She loves it.

But somewhere along the way, the years of pouring everything into her family started to stack up in ways she couldn’t ignore. Something shifted and she realized she didn’t recognize how far she’d drifted from the version of herself she wanted to be.

So she walked through our doors at RE:GEN eight months ago.

Jenn wasn’t looking for a dramatic transformation. She was just looking for somewhere she could be consistent. Somewhere that was hers.

What she found was a place where she could show up three days a week, in that window between school drop-off and pickup, and do something purely for herself for the first time in years.

And work she does.

Jenn is one of the hardest workers we have. Her overhead press is something else, and the only times we ever need to step in are when we’re talking her out of going too heavy.

She’s had a few setbacks along the way, some hip pain, some knee issues, and before RE:GEN she would have had no idea what to do with those. Now she has a team and a space where those things get handled and she never loses momentum.

She put it best herself:

“RE:GEN Fitness is it. Josh and Emily truly are the best at what they do. I love that I can just show up knowing that I have a workout tailored to reach my goals. I always walk out feeling accomplished and stronger.”

Eight months in, Jenn is stronger than she’s been in years. She trains three days a week, hits the sauna after almost every session, and has built something that is genuinely hers inside a life that is otherwise very much everyone else’s.

Putting herself first hasn’t taken anything away from her family. It’s made her better at all of it.

That’s what we’re here for.

Does any part of Jenn’s story sound familiar?
