Holly works for herself. She sets her own hours and picks the times that suit her.
Which means work is always available. There is no hour when it’s closed.
So for years the gym was the thing that moved. In her own words:
“The tendency to tell myself I’m too busy and other things are more important, or ‘I don’t have time this week,’ which turns into multiple weeks.”
She knew what she wanted before she ever walked in here. Build muscle, and get out of pain in her knee, her hips and her low back.
She knew the part she couldn’t do on her own, too, and she wrote that down as well: “So keep me accountable.”
That was the whole limitation. She couldn’t pull herself away and make every decision it takes to get a session done.
Now she has a standing 9:30, and she builds her day around it.
When her work won’t bend around it, she moves the session.
Her program is written before she arrives.
The only decision left is when she shows up.
Last week she showed up on her birthday.
