Josh here. And for years, I was known as the injured one in our friend group.
Shoulder. Neck. Knee. It was always something.
And after a while, the injuries stopped being just a physical problem.
Camping trips, ski weekends, hiking, even concerts. I’d sit out or push through and pay for it later. Either way I felt like a burden.
I’d watch my friends move freely and wonder what was wrong with me. I was young. My body had no business feeling this way.
It got dark. I got down. The injuries had taken away more than movement. They’d taken away a piece of who I was.
Then came the meniscus tear. I ended up in surgery on New Year’s Eve.
Three month protocol. I made a decision right there: I was getting back on the mountain by ski season. That was the line I drew.
I went through PT. Did everything they asked. And they got me to baseline.
But when I asked what came next, how to actually get back to doing the things I loved at a real level, they didn’t have much to offer.
So I figured it out myself. I dove into ATG training, rehab work, and started rebuilding from the ground up.
Not just to get out of pain. To actually get strong. To stop being the person who had to sit things out.
That’s a big part of why RE:GEN exists.
Because good enough to function isn’t good enough. You deserve to get back to the things that make life worth living.
If you’re stuck right now, we’d love to talk. Just a conversation about where you are and what’s possible.
